Our resources.

We produce help sheets as well as accompanying practice sheets with answers.

Our help sheets contain hints, formulae or written steps to help students with independent study.

The practice sheet are differentiated into Emerging, Securing and Mastering. This helps students to progress gradually through a topic.

The “emerging” questions are the first type of questions students encounter after learning a new skill. It is aimed at helping them practice the skill so that they retain it.

After retention, a student should be able to use this skill along with previously learnt skills or be able to manipulate it so as to answer questions in the same topic but presented in a different way. Being successful in this area, leads them to mastery.

In mastery, students are expected to be able to retrieve the appropriate skill required to solve a problem without specific directions being given in the instructions of the question. They are also expected to combine a range of skills from other topics in order to solve a particular problem. For example, algebra in many cases, are used to solve problems relating to shapes, statistics, probability as well as numbers. Most commonly is the use of algebra in shapes, so it is of utmost importance to be able to form algebraic expressions and to know the characteristics of as well as formulae relating to 2D and 3D shapes in order to excel in Higher GCSE.

Some worksheets contain extension questions which require high level knowledge of application in real life situations or mastery of most areas of secondary school mathematics.

We are hopeful that our resources will contribute positively to your mathematics journey either as a student, parent or educator.
